8 Torches – If this is your first time playing Darkest Dungeon, I highly recommend keeping the light level 76 or higher.

Also, keep in mind that you have a kleptomaniac in your party… Will there only be one hunger check after you loot a surplus of food? Maybe, but to be on the safe side, I would bring 4.

4 Food – The more you traverse in the dungeon, the more frequently a hunger check is rolled.
